Latest News & Events 28 June 2010 - The results.... The gents winner of Perth Nomads Badminton Club's fun doubles tournament was Dave Martin and runner-up was Martin Weir. Dawn MacKenzie was the top lady and runner-up was Sandra MacDonald. Congratulations! 14 June 2010 - Fun tournament 28 June 2010 To mark the last club night of the 2010/11 season, Perth Nomads will be holding a fun tournament at its club night on Monday 14 June 2010. 19 May 2010 - Club nights: June 2010 & 2010/11 Perth Nomads will continue to meet at Glenearn Community Campus on Monday nights in June 2010 with the exception of Monday 7 June 2010. Club nights will continue to be held at Glenearn for the 2010/11 season, commencing Monday 6 September. 23 March 2010 - Easter Monday The Club will meet as normal on Monday 5 April, Easter Monday. The Glenearn Community Campus will be open as normal. 19 March 2010 - Night out The Club will be having a social night on Friday 9 April. We will meet from 7pm onwards at the Capital Asset in Tay Street, Perth with food an option for those that want it. 15 March 2010 - Season extended Perth Nomad's season has historically run from September to March. We have decided this season to trial an extension to the season and our Monday night meetings will therefore continue until at least the end of May 2010. Based on the trial, we will then determine whether to continue to meet beyond May. 3 February 2010 - League win It has been a tough season for Perth Nomads in the league. The Club's previous wins this season were both a result of opposing clubs being unable to field a full team so it was nice to finally notch up a competitive win beating Bankfoot 13 to 5. Special mention goes to Ralph Laing and Sandi MacDougall who each won all of their games. The Club has one remaining league match to play against Strathallan on 10 March and is also looking forward to the Campus Trophy match on 25 February. 22 December 2009 - And the winner is.... Congratulations! 15 December 2009 - Fun doubles tournament To mark the last club meeting of 2009, Perth Nomads Badminton Club will hold a fun doubles tournament at its club night on Monday 21 December 2009. 14 December 2009 - Festive period Perth Nomads Badminton Club's last meeting of 2009 will be on Monday 21 December 2009. The club will not meet on Monday 28 December 2009 but will return on Monday 4 January 2010. The first league match of 2010 will be held on Wednesday 6 January 2010. 21 October 2009 - First league match of 09/10 Perth Nomads Badminton Club's first league match of the 2009/10 season is against Kinross and will take place from 8pm at Bells Sports Centre in Perth on 21 October 2009. 16 October 2009 - New venue for Perth Nomads Perth Nomads Badminton Club has moved to the excellent, modern sports hall at the new Glenearn Community Campus. The first meeting of the Club at the new venue will be on Monday 19 October 2009 from 8pm to 10pm. New members will be most welcome! 21 September 2009 - New name for Badminton Club At its Annual General Meeting, Norwich Union Badminton Club agreed that the name of the Club be changed to Perth Nomads Badminton Club.
